Monthly Calendar Hack

I usually only list appointments and scheduled events on my monthly calendar pages.  I try to keep it neat so I can see at a glance what needs to be done on that day.  Sometimes I need to add a few more details but there is never enough room for extra details.

Enter a new hack that I have been trying.  All the appointments are written in one color, usually black but the example to your left is in green.  MNO stands for "Mom's Night Out", our homeschool moms get together monthly.  Our meetings are all planned till the end of the year but not all the details have been hammered out.

MNO is what I wrote some time ago to "save the date".  I added a little red arrow pointing to my notes section (that I usually don't use), and wrote in the extra information.  The time will be added later and soon all the information will be entered into my weekly pages.

  1. Nice tip! I usually only carry two colored pens with me (one for text the other for emphasis or checking off task boxes), but this may be worth giving a shot.
