Balancing Functional and Creative Planning

I know, that I know, that I know, that I know...I'm a functional planner.  I don't have the inclination to spend hours creating beautiful, color-coded spreads, and I get a little anxious thinking that I need to buy all the pens and all the stickers.  However, I do love looking at these spreads and when I do, I start thinking, "maybe..."

I finally figured out what that is all about.  I like to doodle and I like to write.  I like to use a perfect sticker for whatever the occasion is, but I quickly get tired of doing the same thing for very long.  I believe that is why I am always trying out different inserts, and why I like switching out my planner covers - I need a little change in my life.

I bought a Stalogy bullet journal last spring to help accommodate this change.  My planning system is firmly housed in my rings, but when I'm feeling the need to be creative, I pull out the journal and do my daily planning there.  I refer to my weekly page to create the daily pages and keep the binder close in case I need to access any other information.  After a few days, I'm usually planing in my rings again.

Here are a few of my favorite spreads:

  1. Eu também reservei um planner apenas para fazer esses spreads. Tenho preferido deixar meu planejamento diário bem minimalista.

  2. Love the bible verses. That's the same way I add them for memorization. Well, I use them as passwords, too...
