Some days planning feels easy. Other days it feels like everything has piled up at once.
When that happens, I don’t try to fix everything. I just do a small reset.
Step 1: Clear one page
Open your planner to a clean page. Not five sections. Not a full system. Just one page.
Write down everything currently on your mind:
- tasks
- calls
- errands
- things you keep trying not to forget
This is just a brain dump. No organizing yet.
Step 2: Circle what actually matters this week
Look at your list and circle only what truly needs attention this week.
Not someday. Not eventually. Just this week.
Step 3: Choose your next three actions
From what you circled, choose the next three actions.
When everything feels overwhelming, a short list creates clarity faster than a perfect plan ever will.
Step 4: Close the planner and begin
Once you have your three actions, start with one of them.
Planning should support your life, not slow you down. A quick reset is often all you need to move forward again.
This printable is designed for 8.5 × 11 paper, but you can scale it down for most planner sizes. In your printer settings, choose Custom Scale (or Fit) and use the guide below:
| Planner Size | Suggested Print Scale |
|---|---|
| Full Size (8.5 × 11) | 100% |
| A5 (5.8 × 8.3) | 70% |
| Half Letter (5.5 × 8.5) | 78% |
| Compact (4.25 × 6.75) | 55% |
| Personal (approx. 3.75 × 6.75) | 50% |
Tip: After printing, trim and punch to fit your binder or rings.
Note: Most of my Etsy shop is now focused on Mother of the Groom resources, but I still share planner printables and occasional freebies here on Planner Fun. If you are interested in the other printables I formerly sold on Etsy, you can find most of them here on Payhip. Feel free to contact me if you are looking for something specific.
